On April 3rd we kicked off our twitter-vote first round mock 2019 NFL Draft with the final pick finishing up on April 24th. Thank you so much to everyone that participated and cast their vote!
With that said, here are the results of the 2019 Spirited Fantasy Football Show’s mock draft:
#1KYLER MURRAY, OKL-QB
With 48 percent of the vote, the Cardinals selected quarterback Kyler Murray, out of the University of Oklahoma. An uber-athletic playmaker, Murray will team with head coach Kliff Kingsbury and his high-scoring (collegiately at least) spread offensive scheme.
#2NICK BOSA, OH ST-DE
In a landslide with 83 percent of the votes, the 49ers grab the most complete and pro-ready DE in the draft in Nick Bosa. Look for him to kick inside in sub-packages and passing situations. Will be an early three-down player.
#3JOSH ALLEN, KY-EDGE
Coming in with just over half of the final vote, the New York Jets took dynamic pass-rusher Josh Allen out of Kentucky. The 6-5, 260 pounder will be a force coming off the edge, and can play both defensive end in sub packages and outside linebacker in a 3-4 alignment. The Jets will be counting on him to duplicate the 17 sacks he recorded in his final season with the Kentucky Wildcats.
#4QUINNEN WILLIAMS, AL-DT
Needing to add some pass-rush following the departure of Khalil Mack, the Raiders looked inside and grabbed the best Defensive Tackle in the draft. With a quick first step and incredible athleticism, Williams can consistently push the pocket and be a disruptive force inside.
#5DEVIN WHITE, LSU-LB
After losing MLB Kwon Alexander to the 49ers in free agency, Tampa Bay looks for his replacement with the sideline-to-sideline speedster out of LSU, Devin White. Barely beating out Ed Oliver in the vote, White displayed incredible athleticism at the combine, even drawing some comparisons to Patrick Willis.
#6DWAYNE HASKINS, OH ST-QB
Edging out defensive tackle Ed Oliver by a slim margin, the voters chose the heir-apparent to Eli Manning in Ohio State’s Dwayne Haskins. Though only a one-year starter in college, Haskins displayed the arm talent and leadership skills that projects to a solid NFL career.
#7Jawaan Taylor, FLA-OT
Looking to revitalize their run game, the Jacksonville Jaguars picked former Florida Gator road-grading right tackle Jawaan Taylor. A physical bruiser, Taylor earned a 2018 run blocking grade of 83.4 from PFF. Those who have Leonard Fournette on their fantasy rosters would be ecstatic about this selection.
