Bible Verse of the Week

“And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ – to the glory and praise of God.” Philippians 1:9-11

A believer’s love abounds, their discernment increases, and they more perfectly embody Christ as evident by their actions through the growing knowledge of their Creator. By the studying of God’s word, prayerful revelation, and the intimacy provided through worship, we are transformed into Christ’s likeness through the depth of insight that we acquire by His Spirit.

If you desire to change – read God’s word. If you are stuck in sin – seek Him through earnest prayer. If you lack discernment, if righteousness flees from you and love does not abound in you – then seek Him, his knowledge, his truth, until being enlightened by His depth of insight becomes a daily endeavor. To the glory and praise of God.
