The fear of the Lord gives us strength to not fall away from His grace into a life of lawlessness. The love of God, on the other hand, keeps us from legalism, which also destroys intimacy with God. Our love for God also fuels our motives and intentions, keeping them passionate and accurate.
We must have the great forces of both love and fear in our lives to maintain a healthy relationship with him.
