So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. -2nd Corinthians 4:18
Simply put, we waste an awful lot of time worrying about simple things. Even the apostle Paul called his own significant worldly troubles “light” and “momentary” in perspective of an eternal glory.
Let us not lose sight of the eternal by the crafty distraction of the temporal. The greatest sorrow will absolve at heaven’s gates and our greatest worldly treasure will pale in comparison to heaven’s smallest jewel. We are eternal souls currently living in this dimly lit world, but never forget we are destined for an eternity – a paradise beyond dream or a dungeon of pain and suffering.
So do not labor in vain for temporary gain, but work for the Lord who is everlasting. Set your faith and trust in him daily and obey his commands so that your hope may be sure and your eternity secure.
